Highlights: By searching or browsing the online collection resources of the Guggenheim’s website, researchers can discover a cluster of nine thumbnails of Futurist works beneath a concise overview of the movement’s history. By clicking on each image, researchers can view a larger version of the image along with title, artist, measurements, etc. Each image is supplemented by a short commentary on the artwork as well as its connection to other Futurist work and a hyperlink to the artist’s biography. Links to several biographies provided by the Guggenheim can be found on the List of Artist Names page.
Drawbacks: Although images of artworks are of good quality, they are small to medium in size and the website lacks zoom features that allow researchers to view greater levels of detail. The nine images, while historically significant and aesthetically relevant to the Futurist movement, are hardly representative of the vast body of Futurist works.
